According to the Taiwan-based DigiTimes, gotta love ’em,a problem with the fingerprint-recognition which may cut shipments.
DigiTimes claim that poor production yields of the chips for both the fingerprint-recognition and LCD drivers will leave Apple no choice to cut initial shipments of the long-rumoured phone.
Mass production of these things was supposed to start by late June or early July, however poor yield rates will instead delay volume production until late July. What this all means is that initial supplies of the phone won’t be as high as originally expected.
“What’s the damage going to be?”You ask(probably).Well, about 3 million shipments will be delayed,DigiTimes say.
Just to note, these are ALL rumours. The chances are that these are just rumours.
