Apple’s WWDC event is one of the highlights of the year and here is what happened at the event.
OSX 10.9 Mavericks
The first OSX that doesn’t have a cat-based name!,they’re now California-themed names for the next versions.Starting with Mavericks.
The OS is available for developers today and the fall for the rest.The operating system has improved battery life,a bunch of new apps,better power management,tabs in Finder and the ability to add tags which make it easer to find your file or document.
Apple also integrated the ability to use multiple displays allowing power users to have more screen real-estate.
Safari is next,if you haven’t looked up in the last 5 minutes.The brower will feature a home screen with top sites that you visit,a reading list(let’s you keep scrolling onto the next part).On the performance side,the next version will have Nitro tiered JIT, Nitro fast start, background tab optimization, and better memory usage.
Apple is bringing Apple Maps to OSX.This version features 3D maps and and the ability to get an instant estimated time of arrival for any address in a calendar event.
Fans of the Mackbook Air,prepaid to be happy-sevrel models of the Air have been released!
The new 11-inch will cost $999 with a 128GB flash drive,or you can pay $1,099 for one with 256GB.The 13-inch model with 128GB capacity will be $1,099, while $1,299 will get you a 256GB Flash drive.
The new features include:all-day battery life and 802.11AC WiFi support-which is 3 times faster than 802.11n.

iOS,Apple’s mobile OS,has a new version:iOS 7
As expected,Apple designed it with its “flat” design lanuage-the idea of longtime Apple senior vice president and head of design, Jony Ive.
One of the main features is the Control Centre,which you can access by swiping up.It offers you brightness, volume, airplane mode, Bluetooth, Do not disturb, and a flashlight app. Control Center will also allow control over AirPlay and all music playback settings-all a swipe away.
Also,Apple says that iOS 7 enables multitasking across all apps,with better battery life.In adittion,it offers intelligent scheduling, adapts to a user’s network conditions, and does automatic app updates.Yes,that’s right,AUTOMATIC APP UPDATES!!
iTunes Radio,known as iRadio,is Apple’s Spotify and Pandora killer.It’s free and ad-free if you have iTunes Match.It’ll be available in the U.S first and other countries later.
