Citi analyst Glen Yeung, who was in the last Citi story, says that component suppliers appear to be ready to make the iWatch-pointing to a likely launch for the second half of 2013.
This month,Apple is expected to give the go-ahead to the supply chain to start crafting the components of the iWatch, says Glen. The supplies are also ready to make all the lovely components.Glen sees the second half of the year as an “increasingly likely” for Apple’s amazing watch.
“We believe iWatch is in a greater state of readiness, with the supply chain now waiting for the production go-ahead from Apple,” Glen said in an investors note released today. “We suspect the go/no-go decision will be made in June and are leaning toward a ‘go’ outcome at this time.”
As you may or may not know, reports have appeared that say Apple might make a smartwatch(a watch that’s smart haha).Like usual,Apple has been very silent about the issue, but some tiny bits of info told us enough that the iWatch may be on its way.
Apple has already reportedly filled out a trademark of the iWatch in Russia. Also,Taiwanese news source Economic Times recently said that Apple was looking at 1.5 OLED screens, apparently for an iWatch. To top that all off,a story from Bloomberg that said that the iWatch was slated to come out as soon as this year.
